Story of Amit - The Change Maker

This is a story of Amit pal who lives with his family in Majherhat slum, near railway station, Kolkata. The children growing up in slums experience a deprived childhood, playing on rough uneven ground, taking on multiple roles in everyday life and sharing responsibilities with adults in domestic and public spaces in the community. Amit Pal was in the same boat. If we looked back 10 years ago, Amit was a 7 years old school dropout little boy. OAR started working in that area with an established of informal school. OAR mobilize and empower communities by raising awareness about the importance of education and equips childhood with life and leadership skills to stimulate their all-round development.

Now Amit is 18 years old boy, passed Madhyamik examination 2 years back with (66%) marks and aspire to become a software engineer by profession.He is become the inspiration of others children in that area.He is thankful to OAR for giving him the opportunities and let him grow his two wings.
